The other nigh Everett had a horrible night sleep and was up early. Ryan was away and I was exhausted. So I figured when Everett has his morning nap I would too. The problem was I had to go get diapers and they were on sale at Zellers. By the time we dropped Rawley off at morning group Everett was asleep in the car. This never happens. I figured if I woke him up when we got to Zellers he would be up and play for a bit and then still nap when we got home. The problem is he would not wake up. I took him out of his car seat and held him up. I talked to him, let the snow fall on his face and unwrapped him a bit...nothing. So he slept through the whole shopping trip, woke up as soon as I put him back in the car and completely skipped the rest of his morning nap. boo.

It did make for cute pictures though.
Today Rawley has to go to the dentist and get a huge cavity filled. He has asked a lot of questions, knows he has to get a needle and is terrified. I feel so awful for him because I remember when I was little and had to get so many cavities filled. I cried (more like bawled) every time I got there because I was so afraid of the needles. I also feel bad because I passed my horrible, weak, cavity prone teeth on to him. I am glad that Grandma is keeping Everett so I can focus all my attention on Rawley.

Everett is 9 months Old

Well he was 9 months old yesterday but I didn't get to post any pictures.

Unfortunately these pictures are a little blurry. It is hard to tell when I look at the screen on the camera that they didn't turn out. I am not sure if you can tell but Everett has put on some weight. He has got quite a little tummy on him now and chubbier arms. His cheeks have filled out and you can see less of his neck too. He finally looks like a baby should; nice and chubby.

What's New

Lots of things are new.

EVERETT IS 9 MONTHS OLD TODAY. I would love to say it went by too fast and I miss those days but... Everett is finally a happy, content, easy to please baby. So I will say I love to look back at the hundreds of pictures I took of this adorable boy but I do not wish for those days back. I will post his new pictures tomorrow because I am not at home right now.

Yesterday we replaced our TV stand with a new (used) entertainment unit. Because Everett is almost crawling and we have noticed he liked to get into EVERYTHING..we needed to get our TV and other electronics up and out of his reach. We found a great second hand one on e-brandon, which is kind of like our own little CraigsList. That was our big exciting thing for the weekend, taking apart, cleaning and reassembling all our electronics. Man they were dusty.

Everett is loving almost all people food. There is not much that he will turn his nose up at. On the weekend we were at Ryan's parents house to celebrate his sister's birthday. Pat has made amazing lasagna and Everett thoroughly enjoyed it. We just cut it up and put it on his tray and he fed himself. He was a total mess afterwords but happy. Once he was done eating and cleaned up i had him sitting in front of me on the table where he lunged forward and got a fist full of Rawley's icecream. And after all that wonderful people food he had a great sleep. One got up once to eat then slept till 7:25. Good Boy.

I wish I could say last night was just as well but unfortunately it was not. He was up 5 times and after the fourth I was so tired that I made Ryan get up with him the fifth. I have a funny feeling that the Wendy's fries did not settle too well in his tummy. He only had about 4 but that seems to be what upset him. I suppose 9 months is too early for fast food even if mommy does suck all the salt off first.

I am enjoying my new job. I work with some really great people and the time out of the house conversing with adults is really nice. I am losing some of my pay because it is over what EI will allow me to make while on mat leave but I still think it is worth it.

I am looking so forward to going home to BC next month. We have made some concrete plans and then also have some down time to just relax. We are planning a whole day in Vancouver which I am so happy about. Rawley is going to have so much fun and I will get to see the ocean again. I miss the ocean. We are using our air miles to spend one night in a hotel and other than that we will be sleeping at my dad's and my grandparents house.

Will post pictures tomorrow.

Good Bye

New Job

I have been looking for a part time job since Christmas. I put out 2 resumes and didn't here anything. While we were out for drinks on my birthday a friend of a friend told me they were hiring at work. The next day I dropped off my resume and was pretty much hired on the spot. I am now working part-time at a local furniture store. I work in the office and am really enjoying it. I am loving being around adults again. It is a wonderful break from my kids but I have to admit I miss them while I am at work.

The job entails a lot and sometimes it is frustrating, but they say I am doing great and they are really happy with me. I can't tell you how good it feel to be appreciated. Right now I am training so I am working about 4 days a week. This has been a hard adjustment for me specially since Ryan is away this week. Trying to get the kids ready for morning program, school, day care and me ready for work it a big job. Props to moms and dads who do this everyday. Once the training is done I will only be working 2 or 3 days a week and shorter shifts so that will be nice. A break to get out of the house and earn some extra money but not too much to exhaust me.

Everett is really enjoying Grandma's daycare. He gets to spend time with grandma and there are all these kids that love to play with him and keep him entertained. Everett is such a sociable little fella so this is great for him.

Anyway, i have to go get some house work done. I have been neglectful of my house duties a little with trying to get back into a work schedule.

Here are some cute pictures of Everett.
Eating Blueberries for the first time and loving them!

Just being cute!

We're Coming Home

For the past 2 months we have been budgeting our money and chacking for seat sales with West Jet. We have not quite finished budgeting but the seat sale was today and there were not many seats left so we went ahead and bought our tickets.

WE ARE COMING TO BC!!! YAY!

I have been missing my family a lot lately and was really worried that this trip home was not going to happen so I am so happy right now.

We fly home on Wednesday March 30th and get to stay till Wednesday April 6th.

During this time we will get to meet our new niece expected to be born the last week of March. We also plan of visiting with lots of friends and family and spending a day in Vancouver with the boys. I can hardly wait.

Now we have the big job of saving up spending money and finding places to sleep and people to feed us. We think we have enough airmiles to spend one night in a hotel so that will probably be very exciting for Rawley.

I can't wait to have Rawley and his Papa together again. This is going to be so much fun.

What a great day!
